Thieves... what is all the hype about?
Thieves is a combination of a few oils:
Clove
Cinnamon Bark
Lemon
Eucalyptus Radiata
Rosemary
The history of Thieves essential oil came from a story of four thieves who robbed people during the bubonic plague in 14th century Europe. The four thieves went from house to house robbing those who had succumbed to the illness. At some point they were eventually captured. The judge asked the four thieves how they were able to rob the dead and not be suffer from the disease. The thieves claimed that they were saved because they wore masks the masks that made them look like doctors at the time (you know, those creepy peak shaped masks). Inside of the beaks the masks held a combination of herbs, spices, and essential oils: clove, cinnamon, lemon, eucalyptus radiate, and rosemary. It's believed today that this blend kept the thieves from succumbing to the bubonic plague.

I love this oil combination because it works for SO MANY needs! I personally use it in these 7 ways:
Dishsoap *
Laundry Soap *
Toothpaste *
Multi-purpose cleaner (glass, floors, stains, bathroom, kitchen, car, etc) *
Diffuse in diffuser throughout the house
Roll on the bottom of my feet/spine/neck/chest when needing an immune boost
Add a few drops to a wool ball and add it to my laundry in the dryer.

Like most hesitation with essential oils, the price seems a little high. Which is totally understanding! It's hard to justify a 1 bottle of Thieves that will only last you 1 month for over $20 compared to other "green" options.
However, I have discovered a hack that will take your 1 bottle of Thieves laundry soap and turn it into 4 bottles! The last time I applied this hack was in July 2021, I am JUST NOW (January 2022) using the 4th bottle and am ordering a new one in February. This hack has saved me $$ and sanity knowing that my family's clothes are clean and smell wonderful without all of the added chemicals from the so-called "green" companies out there.
So here is my Thieves Laundry Hack, to turn 1 bottle into 4! Depending on how much laundry you have, this hack could last you up to 6 months!
HERE IT IS:
What you need:
3 - 32 oz empty containers (I used 3 empty Thieves detergent bottles, but you could buy empty bottles with a pump feature on Amazon.)
1 - Thieves Laundry Soap
1 - Thieves Household Cleaner
Essential Oils of choice (optional)
How to make it:
Separate the laundry soap equally between the 4 containers (8oz each container)
Add 1 oz of Thieves Household Cleaner into each container (use 2oz if your laundry is pretty dirty most of the time... aka: you have kids and a husband that gets dirty at his job 🙋♀️).
Add 30 drops of the essential oil of your choice to each container (again, optional! I personally don't add extra oils).
Fill each container to the top very slowly with water and shake well.
Use 2-6 pumps per load of laundry.
